One of rock'n'roll's greatest entertainers has delivered a double CD of music called 'Roy Young... the best of 50 Years' that spans from 1959 to today.
Roy Young has been a professional musician for half a century being a solo artist at the birth of rock'n'roll; formed a dynamic friendship with The Beatles when he joined them playing keyboards and singing back-up vocals at the Star Club in Hamburg; later joined Cliff Bennett's Rebel Rousers: and was much in demand from the likes of The Beatles, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Ian Hunter, Long John Baldry to name a few.
'Roy Young... The best of 50 Years' spans the years and, although there is a wide range of songs and arrangements, the performances are held together by Roy Young's dynamic vocals and his pounding boogie woogie piano playing.
Roy Young doesn't know the meaning of holding back, there are no half measures with any of these performances.
